Treating Mottled Enamel with Resin Infiltration
Mottled enamel had created uneven colour and texture across the patient’s teeth. A minimally invasive treatment using micro-abrasion and resin infiltration was used to improve the appearance of the enamel and create a more even finish.
Bite Correction & Adaptive Orthodontics
At age four, this patient’s baby teeth were well aligned. As her adult teeth came through and her jaws developed, her bite became misaligned.
Treatment began at age 13 using braces and an Advansync2 appliance to improve the position of the teeth and bite. It was completed at age 15 after two years and two months, with the overall treatment time extended by periods of inconsistent elastic wear.
Second-Phase Orthodontic Correction
After three years in braces, the patient presented at age 20 for a reassessment and a new treatment approach. Her existing braces were removed, treatment was replanned and restarted in October 2019, with treatment completed in March 2021.
Orthodontic Expansion and Braces
Phase I treatment focused on expansion over five months before Phase II continued with braces for approximately 18 months. Follow-up photographs taken at age 19 showed the outcome of this comprehensive two-stage orthodontic approach.
Orthodontic Treatment with Four Extractions
Treatment began at age 24 to address concerns about tooth alignment and facial profile.
Braces were used alongside the removal of four teeth as part of the treatment plan. Treatment started in January 2022 and was completed in August 2025 when the braces were removed.
Custom Adolescent Orthodontic Treatment
Orthodontic treatment commenced at age 14 to improve tooth alignment and address the patient’s individual orthodontic concerns. Treatment was completed after approximately 18 months.
Clear Aligners & Tooth Extraction
Treatment involved removing one lower front tooth, followed by ClearCorrect aligners to improve the alignment of the teeth. The treatment was completed over approximately 16 months.
Bite and Orthodontic Treatment
Treatment was completed in two stages. First, a Twin Block appliance was used for six months to help improve the developing bite. This was followed by a further 12 months of orthodontic treatment to straighten the teeth and improve overall alignment.
Teen Orthodontic Treatment
Upper and lower braces were used to correct significant crowding and irregular tooth positioning, including an upper canine that had erupted out of alignment.
Treatment began in April 2017 and was completed in August 2018, after approximately 16 months. The result was improved alignment of the upper and lower teeth, with the displaced canine brought into a more natural position within the smile.
Revitalising Worn and Discoloured Teeth
Worn, discoloured upper front teeth and failing composite restorations compromised the balance of the patient’s smile. Composite veneers were used to restore structural integrity while harmonising tooth colour, shape, and overall aesthetic appearance.
Restoring Six Worn Front Teeth
The six upper front teeth were significantly worn, affecting their shape and appearance. Composite veneers were used to restore their form and create a more balanced smile.
