Dental Implants
Your permanent solution for missing teeth
Tooth gone? Losing a tooth can feel like losing a piece of yourself — it knocks your confidence, your bite, even your smile. At Alma Dental Surgery, we believe no one should have to hold back because of a missing tooth. That’s why we provide dental implants: strong, natural-looking replacements designed to restore not just the look of your smile, but the way it feels and functions every day.
Take back your smile — on your terms.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are advanced tooth replacement solutions designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Each implant consists of a small, biocompatible titanium post that is surgically placed into your jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. Over time, the implant fuses with the bone in a process called osseointegration, creating a strong and stable foundation for a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture.
Because they are fixed in place, dental implants do not slip, shift, or require removal—offering a secure and comfortable fit without relying on surrounding teeth for support.
Types of dental implants we offer
Single dental implants
Ideal for replacing a single missing tooth with a natural-looking crown.
Implant bridges
Used to replace multiple missing teeth in a row, supported by just a few implants.
Implant-supported dentures
A more stable alternative to traditional dentures, secured in place with implants for improved comfort and function.

Benefits of dental implants
- Natural appearance & feel – Designed to blend seamlessly with your existing teeth for a beautiful, realistic smile.
- Long-lasting solution – With proper care, implants can last for decades or even a lifetime.
- Preserves jawbone health – Stimulates the jawbone to help prevent bone loss and maintain facial structure.
- Restored function – Enjoy eating, speaking, and smiling without worry or discomfort.
- Protects healthy teeth – Unlike traditional bridges, implants do not require grinding down neighbouring teeth.
Who can get dental implants?
Most healthy adults with excellent oral and general health are suitable candidates. You may be an ideal candidate if you:
- Have one or more missing teeth.
- Have healthy gums and adequate jawbone density.
- Are committed to maintaining good oral hygiene.
- Do not have uncontrolled health conditions that could affect healing.
Our dentist will assess your mouth with a thorough examination, X-rays, and possibly 3D imaging to determine if implants are right for you.
How we do dental implants
Every smile is different. We begin with a thorough assessment, including scans and a personalised treatment plan, so you know exactly what to expect and feel confident about your journey.
With care and precision, a small titanium post is placed into your jawbone under local anaesthesia. This is a minor surgical procedure with little discomfort for most patients, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
Over the next 3–6 months, the implant fuses with your bone, creating a strong, stable foundation.
Once healed, a small connector called an abutment is attached to hold your new tooth securely in place.
Finally, a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture is fitted. It is carefully designed to match your natural teeth in both look and feel, restoring your smile with strength and confidence.
